Wow "A Kind Of Magic" was at #3 on that week. Thank you, mate, it is great to see it so high. I hope it reached a higher position in subsequent weeks.
Looking forward to seeing some other chart for 1989, when "The Miracle" did very well in Portugal.
I'm surprised no Quen single (like "A Kind Of Magic" or "Friends Will Be Friends") was charting on the Portuguese Top Singles chart in 1986. Maybe they sold poorly? Any idea? Did Queen have a hit in 1986?
Herman, #3 was the highest position achieved by Queen with this album here!
"A Kind of Magic" single sold good, was very popular, "Friends..." was very popular too, but don't sell to good.
Problem is that my source in 1986/87/88 reduce the top to 10 tracks instead of 20, as usual.
In The TV show they condinue with 20 and albuns rise to 30!
until the CD domination, that the singles completly disapear (we are talking about the 90's)
Great reply, mate. I now know (from various sources), that "The Works", "Greatest Hits 2" and "Made in Heaven" were number one albums in Portugal and that 2A Kind Of Magic" went to #3.
A contact told me that "The Miracle" was #3 and "Innuendo" #1. I hope you eventually post some charts to cover the period where these two albums were released and see if he was right.
"Innuendo" is from the 90's, don't place in this blog.

The rest of charts I have since 84 (try to get ealier ones too) until 90 I will keep posting until blogger allow me and I have forces to do it. HEHEHEHE!
